Modeled snowpack over a 48-hour window: past 24 hours from weather observations, next 24 hours from weather forecast. Dry Snow Problems and Wet Snow Problems stability modes add plots specific to those problems. Depth from surface controls how much of the upper snowpack to show.

Aspect View

Compares modeled snowpack structure across all eight aspects simultaneously. Each profile increases in height from the center. The layer width corresponds to its hardness, and it is colored by its major grain type. Move the time slider to see how the snowpack evolves over the season.

Season View

Shows how a modeled snowpack variable varies over time (horizontal direction) and snowpack height (vertical direction). Select different variables and aspects using the dropdowns below. The right-hand plot shows a snow profile at a specific time, which is selectable via the slider. Data is on 6-hour intervals.

Profile View

Detailed snow profiles at 2 hour intervals over the season. Time is selectable using the slider at the bottom. The profile at the bottom is the height of snow over time.
